To take card payments you need Stripe or Square — whichever you already use. Already on Square? Connect that account and invoice payments land next to your in-person sales. Otherwise connect a Stripe account you have, or create one during setup — it is free to open. Everything else (quoting, scheduling, invoicing, warranties) works without either, but the pay page will tell your customer that payment is unavailable until an account is connected.
A flat subscription, billed as part of your Connected Home Ledger plan. We do not take a percentage of your invoices. Your processor — Stripe or Square — charges its own per-transaction fee on card payments, deducted before payout; that is billed by them, separately from us.
No. They get a link. They open the quote, sign it, pay the deposit and follow the job from that same link — no password, no app, nothing to sign up for.
Today, yes — Ledger is where you sign up, and it is where your books live. ConnectedWorkOS opens from inside your Business Workspace, already signed in. That coupling is the point: payments you collect on a job post straight into your books instead of being re-keyed at tax time.
Into your own Stripe or Square account, then to your bank on that processor’s payout schedule. We never hold your funds. The connection lets us create charges and refunds on your behalf; it does not give us your money or your account keys, and you can revoke it from your processor’s dashboard at any time.
Any small service business that quotes work, schedules it and invoices for it — lawn care and landscaping, repair and handyman, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, pest control, appliance repair, pool and pressure washing. Nothing in the product assumes a particular trade: your price list, your job types, your terms.
Yes. Staff get their own logins. Subcontractors get a separate portal that shows only the jobs assigned to them and their own paperwork — never your customer list or your pricing.
Per line, or for the whole job. A hidden line shows the customer as “Included” while still counting toward the total, and a flat-rate package shows one price with a bulleted list of what is in it. Your internal costs and margin stay visible to you either way.
Access is suspended, not deleted. Your data stays where it is, so if you come back it is waiting for you.
No. Each business is isolated from every other business on the platform, and customer documents are never indexed by search engines — the application sends a no-index instruction on every page and blocks crawlers outright.
